Dying in No Risk PvE mode won't result in dropping some equipped gear, however, you will also not get the chance for extra gear like in High-Risk mode. PvE mode on Ascension prevents you from attacking or being attacked by enemy Players, whether they be members of your own Faction with Criminal Intent, an ability which declares you an Outlaw, allowing you to attack any flagged player and be attacked by said players and City guards, or members of the opposite Faction. PvE combat is the primary form of combat a player will engage in and is typically the first they will engage in. Or hell rework the current random pick server to function that way.PvE mode, the abbreviated form of Player versus Environment, where a player will fight NPC enemies for loot and rewards, PvE mode is one of two modes that one can engage in, in No-Risk mode. ![]() I'm hoping some of these issues are fixed, maybe they might consider a casual server where your ability to reroll is more restricted and you have to work with what you're given. I'm glad to have experienced it though, it really is a cool concept. ![]() And eventually the endless possibilities for builds narrows down to like, 5 that are viable. Unfortunately the execution doesn't favor anyone with less than a few hours a week to play. And you can tell alot of love was put into the systems. Tl Dr Fantastic idea, probably the most unique private server I've ever played on. This puts me at a huge disadvantage, and again ends up with people running the same OP stuff all the time. With enough time and money people can sit there for hours rerolling and rerolling until they get something good. Now tbf I did run the free pick server, even though in theory the other server should fix alot of those balance issues since abilities are randomly rolled. And the pvp gearing system is something Blizz should have done years ago, because it's completely viable to only ever do BGs and arena if that's your prerogative. Which sucks, because the idea of full loot drop world pvp sounds really intense and fun. Everyone's running the same couple OP abilities and enchants that never get nerfed. And rather than nerfing in such a way that forces you to try new builds, it seems like they nerf any viable competitors to the meta. As others have said: despite the build possibilities, when you get into higher tier content there's a super strict meta that's vehemently enforced by the community. The few tanks you get are run off from the toxicity when they try a build that doesn't have the 3-4 most meta tanking abilities because they wanted to run something more challenging and fun to play. Especially compared to the possibilities of DPS builds. Once sat in dungeon queue for close to 2 hours? And I get why, tanks and healers are not fun to play in this. Like longer than the lowest pop retail server. I work full time and have a wife so my few hours of gaming time in the evenings are sacred.įor starters, dungeon queues for DPS are insanely long. That being said unfortunately it has some issues that leave me not wanting to sink too much time into it. ![]() The enchantments add yet another layer of theorycrafting on top of that. Also did a ice rogue build that was pretty fun. I came up with a shadow archer, I did a feral druid with BM traits so I could have two other cats fight alongside me. Was a ton of fun seeing what I could come up with. I'm a huge theorycrafting fan, so the classless concept really appealed to me.
